It is with the deepest/greatness sadness that we learn of the passing of Fr Aidan Mullan, administrator of St Columba’s Church Long Tower. As our school chaplain and esteemed governor, Fr Aidan guided us all in the ways of faith, love and respect for each other.
Father Aidan played a huge role within Long Tower Primary School; he was a man of kindness and much wisdom, giving generously of his time and talents to all in our school community. Fr Aidan passed on the faith in such a unique way, challenging children to find the best within themselves and encouraging them to display it to make our society a better place. Most importantly, he shared his love of God and the celebration of the Mass and the sacraments with our school community.
He will be greatly missed; but his presence and message of unwavering service and dedication will live on in the children, staff, parents, governors and wider Long Tower Community. We were blessed and privileged to have had such a special chaplain.
