There is a range of help and support available across the Western Trust Area which is provided by a dedicated group of professionals offering intervention to families and young people up to 17 years of age.
The trust is introducing both virtual and face to face sessions for parents and face to face sessions for all children.
The sessions for parents cover a variety of topics around autism and include -
· Explaining a diagnosis to your child
· Understanding and Managing Challenging behaviours
· Understanding and Managing Anxiety
· Preparing for puberty and the teenage years.
· Autism and Sleep Issues
· The impact of Sensory Issues in Everyday Life
