Welcome to the Long Tower Primary and Nursery School website - from all our pupils, staff, and Board of Governors. 

Long Tower Primary School is located just outside the historic Derry Walls, within walking distance of the city centre. Guided by our motto, Our Children First, everything we do is rooted in a commitment to nurture, support, and inspire. We believe every child has the potential to achieve their dreams and make a meaningful contribution to society. From Nursery through to Primary 7, we are dedicated to laying strong foundations for learning and walking alongside each child on their educational journey. 

Long Tower is a beautiful school dating back over 100 years. While rooted in tradition, our school is bright, modern, and welcoming inside and we embrace a forward-thinking approach to educating our children. We aim to deliver the Northern Ireland Curriculum to the highest standard, allowing your child to develop a love of learning, encouraging them to be thoughtful and reflective, to understand their place in the world and to set themselves high standards both in their work and discipline.  

Being a PATHS school and School of Sanctuary, we encourage pupils to adopt a positive mind-set and use determination, resilience and perseverance to overcome challenges, taking pride in every achievement. We are blessed to have outstanding pupils, families and staff who make up the unique Long Tower Primary School community.
