Sustrans Cycle Training

Sustrans are a leading UK charity enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make everyday.  Sustrans are working with our children encouraging them to make healthy and safe choices as regards travelling.

Some of the Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils attended Sustrans Cycle Training Programme.  Here are a few of their comments and photographs.

Eamon and Robert taught me how to cycle on the road, how to signal and control other cars.   Ceile

I liked the day when Eamon and Robert took us up the town.    Shea

I loved Sustrans because I learned how important it is to wear a helmet and indicate when turning.    Sienna

Genevieve the Goat

Genevieve the Goat came to our school on Monday 2nd February with her friend Collette from Cancer Focus N.I.  They met with the P1 and P2 children to promote a healthy lifestyle. The children discussed healthy food choices and the importance of exercise.
